Television programs are a primary vehicle for narrative introduction. In particular, state-run broadcasters use them to seed narratives with mass audiences before those narratives migrate to online platforms, where organic discourse amplifies and entrenches them. Tracking television at the source gives analysts an earlier signal than social media monitoring alone.
In Parts 1 and 2 of this series, we introduced narrative intelligence as a discipline and walked through two techniques.
